About Peru

The Experience

Peru definitely has the most varied landscape of all South American countries. While a large portion of Peru is mountainous, these mountains extend to an immense desert coastline and vast rainforests. Topping that with immense waterfalls, lakes and lagoons, rivers and canyons, and a wealth of flora and fauna, and Peru is a very interesting country from its natural beauty alone. However, perhaps more interesting is the amazing historical landmarks that are preserved throughout Peru. Peru is also home to many of the great Inca relics: from the Royal Tombs of Sipán in the north to the Pachacamac oracle in the south, and finally to central Peru, home of Chavín de Huántar -- the “castle” of one of the earliest civilizations in the Americas.
