Santiago is a very metropolitan city with restaurants, bars, hotels, ski resorts, spas, museums, galleries, zoos, and parks. However, the best parks and museums are definitely found south of Santiago in Talca. Also just south of Santiago are vast expanses of vineyards where Chilean wine is produced.
