In 1910, a gentleman from Bellagio, Elena Gandola, chose this extraordinary piece of land to build a Grand Hotel fit for the high level tourism that was beginning to develop in this area. It was a rich and cultural form of tourism coming from England, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and even from Czars Russia.
The Grand Hotel, over a period of almost a hundred years, has fortunately belonged to few people who greatly respected and loved it. And it is thus that today it is still a family and not a company who takes care of it and also that its success has been crowned with the award of 5 stars which places it into the elite category of Italian hotels.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo, a charming five-star hotel dating back to the beginning of the last century, faces Lake Como surrounded by an enchanting landscape. A hundred windows glance at the water reflections or at the private garden - 30,000 sqm of green which surround the large swimming-pool, the tennis court and a path where rare trees alternate with works of art.
