About Belize

The Experience

With its east coast bordering the waters of the Caribbean Sea, Belize has some of the most amazing scenery in Central America. Just off the coast of Belize lies the longest coral reef in the Americas. And, beyond the reef lie three of the Caribbean's four coral atolls. This makes Belize a paradise for people who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving. The inner forests of Belize are protected lands, home to the highest waterfall in Central America and the world's only jaguar reserve. South-central Belize is a mountainous region with flowing rivers and some of the largest caves in the Americas. Additionally, the lands between the mountains and rainforests still bear the remains of many Mayan towns.

Location

Belize is located in the southernmost part of North America, south of Mexico, east of Guatemala, and west of the Caribbean Sea.

Temperature Ranges

Temperatures in Belize range from 50°F to 95°F with an annual mean of 79°F. November to January is the coolest with a 75°F average and May to September is the warmest at an 81°F average
