Enter through passages heavy with perfume, filled with bustling activity and the hot colours of Marrakech, through the small lanes of the medina. On opening the doors of riad Dar Doukkala, one finds the spacious remnants of the late 19th century, and the imprint of Jean-Luc Lemee who knows how to return the magic to a place, and how to suspend time.
This traditional riad combines orientalism with Art Deco, and can sleep up to 19. It has 4 rooms and 2 suites, 2 salons and 2 terraces with a panoramic view over the medina and the Atlas mountains, snow-capped in the winter. The patio, the tropical plants and the pool invite indulgent relaxation after discovering the cultural richesse of the imperial city. Each room has a chimney place and both air conditioning and heating. All bathrooms have a bath, and most have a shower too.
