Within the ancient date grove of the Palmeraie, surrounded by a garden of olive, palm and citrus trees along with splashes of colour and perfume from the roses, jasmin and bourganvillea this elegant new hotel has been built using some of the ancient Moroccan, crafts including some exquisite hand painted ceilings and stylish moucharabieh woodwork. Old and contemporary designs blend together to appeal to the senses.
From the traditional gate house a driveway of olive trees leads you to the house where you are welcomed through the turreted hall and into the Dome room with its splendid centre lantern.
What makes this small hotel special, however, is the many and beautifully appointed reception rooms. Space to be social or not as the mood dictates. Two stylish sitting rooms have comfortable sofas and armchairs and the Omar Room has a welcoming fire on winter evenings. The artistic and cosy library has leather armchairs, fireplace and beautifully intricate hand-painted ceiling. The two sitting rooms lead through into the Fan Room, an inside/outside room named after its shape where you can recline on sumptuous cushions or enjoy an aperitif before dinner.
Home-cooked Moroccan, dinner is served in the dark red dining room through a small old traditional door leading from the Casablanca Salon or on balmy summer nights on the lantern lit terrace overlooking the lily pond.
The large swimming pool with the reflection of the blue Moroccan, sky and the rustle of bamboo is the perfect place to chill out or arrange to have a massage.
Two luxurious and spacious suites with their four poster beds, fireplaces and private terraces and three elegant double rooms are all individually designed. All have personally controlled air conditioning, central heating, marble bath, shower, safe, and CD player.
Dar Zemora, is managed by Valerie, a Belgian lady fluent in French and English with Italian, German and Moroccan, as secondary languages. Her Moroccan, staff are always on hand to serve you with a willing smile.
