The Experience

On a trip to Mauritius, there are five things every visitor must do. First, visit Grand Bay, a shopping and leisure paradise with a vibrant nightlife and grand choice of restaurants. Secondly, visit the beaches of La Cuvette and Pereyb�re for their relaxing environments and gorgeous scenery. Third, for a bit of culture and history, visit the Triolet Shivala.
The longest village on the island, Triolet offers an opportunity to visit the biggest Hindu temple, the Maheswarnath, first built in 1819 in honor of the gods Shiva, Krishna, Vishnu, Muruga, Brahma, and Ganesha. Fourthly, visit the Balaclava Ruins where you can see the sea walls whose initial foundations were laid down by Mah� de Labourdonnais. And finally, a trip to Mauritius wouldn't be complete without making a stop in The Labourdonnais Orchards to view the large variety of tropical fruit trees and colourful and perfumed exotic flowers.
